Improving the life chances for disadvantaged children and young people in Hertfordshire.
The JAM Foundation was set up as a Registered Charity to provide a fitting legacy to Janice Ann McNaughton, who dedicated her career as a social worker to improving the lives of children and young people and protecting the most vulnerable in Hertfordshire.
The Charity will focus on supporting and improving the life chances for disadvantaged children and young people in Hertfordshire. Bursaries and funding will be made available to improve access to education and medical provision.
We continue to expand our Bursary programme. Visit our Impact page to find out more about the fantastic young people we have been able to support and award Bursaries to.
‘’During my career it has been my great good fortune to work with many colleagues who were very able, committed, loyal and encouraging. Janice McNaughton was outstanding and I greatly admired her work and what she stood for. I was, therefore, delighted when her son Andy established a Charitable Foundation in her name. The Janice Ann McNaughton Foundation is committed to helping young people, especially those who have been in public care, to support them through education to help them realise their full potential. It is a splendid objective and a fitting tribute to someone who did so much in her life to support and help her fellow human beings. I wish it good success.’’
